AUCKLAND, New Zealand – 21 September 2026

Securecom, a leading New Zealand IT services provider, today announced two new Senior Leadership Team appointments. Both appointments underscore the company’s rapid growth trajectory and highlights the significant, ongoing investment into Securecom by its new parent company, Sharp Corporation New Zealand.

Paul Grapendaal joins Securecom and has been appointed as Securecom’s new Head of Cyber Security, and Larissa Kolver has been promoted to the role of Head of Product Marketing and Commercialisation.

Based in Auckland, Grapendaal brings an impressive depth of experience to Securecom, with 26 years in the cyber security sector spanning engineering, operations, governance, and compliance roles across both local and global organisations. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of Cybersecurity, Governance and Compliance at Datacom, where he led a team of 30 cybersecurity professionals.

Greg Mikklesen, Securecom’s Managing Director, says Grapendaal’s appointment arrives at a pivotal time for the business.

“We are excited to welcome Paul to the Securecom whānau,” says Mikklesen. “Having someone of Paul’s calibre on board is a clear reflection of the momentum we are building. Sharp’s recent acquisition of Securecom was a strong signal of their commitment to investing in the New Zealand tech sector, and their backing is enabling us to rapidly expand our capabilities and bring in additional top-tier leadership. We look forward to the immense expertise and industry experience Paul will bring to our business and our customers.”

Grapendaal will lead a growing cyber division focused on delivering enterprise-grade cyber security – from boardroom strategy to 24/7/365 protection. Securecom bridges the critical gap between technical defence and executive assurance by translating complex cyber risks into clear, actionable improvements supported by a robust governance model.

“I am incredibly impressed by the robust foundation Securecom has built and the clear vision the company has for the future,” says Grapendaal. “The recent acquisition by Sharp has injected a new level of energy and investment into the business to accelerate growth. I am looking forward to working with this talented team to equip leadership teams with absolute assurance, ensuring their security investments align directly with their most critical business objectives.”

Larissa Kolver has been promoted to the role of Head of Product Marketing and Commercialisation, stepping up into this position following a very successful tenure leading and growing Securecom’s Cyber Security business. Her promotion recognises the significant impact she has already made, as well as her strong commercial focus and leadership skills.

In her new role, Kolver will work across the business to shape product strategy, improve how Securecom packages and positions its offerings, and ensure that its sales, marketing, and delivery teams are aligned behind clear, repeatable, and commercially successful solutions. Her experience in security, combined with her ability to build strong customer relationships and lead cross-functional initiatives, will be invaluable as the company looks to scale its product capabilities.
