Cloud consolidation platform to drive enhanced reporting and AI-powered insights for customers

Securecom, a leading New Zealand MSSP and Cloud Provider, today announced it has become the first to deploy on Snowflake’s instance in the Snowflake  AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) region , unlocking a new generation of AI-enabled managed services and helping customers meet local data residency and governance requirements.

Following their recent acquisition by Sharp, Securecom is leveraging Snowflake to consolidate critical infrastructure data across customers’ cloud, network and security environments, supplemented with Securecom’s ticketing and alerting systems. This unified dataset enables Securecom to generate enhanced reporting and architectural recommendations with unprecedented operational context.

The platform introduces a critical innovation: Securecom’s teams and customers can now interact directly with this consolidated data through natural language queries powered by LLM capabilities. This transforms traditional static reporting workflows into dynamic, conversational insights that drive faster decision-making on technology architecture and security posture.

“Data silos have always been the barrier between organisations and the insights they need,” said Jason Kelly, GM of Cloud at Securecom. “By bringing Snowflake to our customers, we can now consolidate the complete picture of their infrastructure, security and operations. The real breakthrough is putting LLM capabilities on top of that data, so teams can ask questions in plain English and get actionable answers quickly. It’s not just reporting, it’s intelligence.”

Securecom’s approach addresses a persistent challenge for IT leaders: the fragmentation of infrastructure, security and operational data across multiple systems. By consolidating cloud workloads, backups, network monitoring, security telemetry and ticketing data into Snowflake, mid-to-large-sized businesses gain immediate visibility into their technology landscapes in ways previously impossible.

The LLM-powered interface removes the friction of traditional analytics. Instead of writing SQL queries or navigating dashboards, teams can ask their data natural language questions: “Show me our top security risks across cloud and network”; “What’s our cloud spend trend by department and region”; “Identify unused or under-utilised Azure resources.” Answers flow in seconds, delivered in clear, actionable language.

For Securecom’s internal operations, the platform drives data-driven insights across the organisation, strengthening the foundation for strategic decision-making.

“The availability of the Snowflake instance on AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) region changes the economics and governance posture for local organisations,” Kelly added. “We’re not moving data offshore; it stays in-country, under New Zealand regulatory oversight. That’s a game-changer for compliance-heavy sectors and organisations with data residency requirements.”

Snowflake Cortex AI is central to the roadmap, with plans to expand AI-powered capabilities as the platform matures. The platform also positions Securecom to move toward a longer-term vision: a customer-facing data product business where clients can directly consume Snowflake data and build their own analytics on a governed, secure foundation.

“Following the launch of Snowflake on the AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region, we’re excited to see Securecom among the first customers to go live locally and help its customers move beyond AI insights to AI-powered action,” said Tony Shaw, Regional Vice President, New Zealand at Snowflake. “By combining Securecom’s local expertise with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, organisations can build AI on a trusted, governed foundation where data security, privacy and governance are built in from the start. With capabilities such as Snowflake Cortex AI and the Snowflake CoCo coding agent, customers can confidently embed AI into their business processes and accelerate innovation.”
